Expectations

We want all parties to be completely satisfied and thrilled with a house sit. Stating expectations up front is one way to guarantee success.

What you can expect from us

  • No persons or pets other than us will live at the premises during the house sit unless prior authorization was granted from the Homeowner.

  • We will vacate the premises at the end of the house sit.

  • We will give every reasonable effort to ensure the good health, cleanliness, comfort, safety and happiness of the animals.

  • We will update the Homeowners, by electronic communication, of the well being of their pets during the house sit.

  • We will not use or allow the premises to be used, for any illegal purpose.

  • We will not cause a nuisance or allow a nuisance to be caused on the premises.

  • We will not interfere with the reasonable peace, comfort or privacy of neighbors.

  • We will regularly clean the premises unless cleaners are provided by the Homeowner. We will maintain the premises as clean and tidy as at the start of the house sit.

  • We will notify the homeowner as soon as possible of any damage to the premises.

  • We will maintain the grounds of the dwelling in the same condition as at the start of the house sit.

  • We will deal with household garbage and recycling as directed by the Homeowner.

  • We will ensure that reasonable security measures are used in safeguarding the property and its contents.

What we expect from the Homeowner

  • Full disclosure of any issues with pets. Examples would be: not house trained, separation anxiety.

  • Full disclosure of active security devices (cameras, etc) in your home.

  • Disclose any changes to the original pet sit post. immediately. This includes but not limited to addition of pets, change in living location. 

  • Provide premises reasonably clean and fit to live in. This should include clean linens and towels, space for our personal belongings.

  • Provide details of how each animal should be managed on a daily basis. Include details of any medications or special treatment that each animal requires.

  • Provide all utilities during the house sit with no cost to us..

  • Provide full details on house care and expectations for use of the dwelling and contents.

  • Provide reimbursement of all costs of emergency repairs or pre arranged routine maintenance of the premises.

  • Provide a set of spare keys for the premises.

  • Provide reimbursement for any food or supplies bought for the animals during the house sit.

  • Provide all food, sundry items and equipment for the care of the animals.

  • Make arrangements for the payment for any services provided by a qualified veterinarian in the treatment and care of the Homeowner's animals.
